For jiu jitsu gym owners

BJJ gym software compared (2026)

Real prices and real fees, taken from each vendor's own pricing page. Segmented by what you actually need, not ranked by who wrote the page.

Before you read the table

We make GrapplingU. We're telling you that up front.

Almost every comparison of BJJ gym software that ranks these platforms is published by one of the platforms, and it usually puts itself first. That is also true of this page. We are GrapplingU. What we have tried to do differently is write the comparison we wish existed when we were choosing software ourselves, including the parts where someone else is the better answer.

So instead of a "best overall" list, this page is segmented by need. If you mainly need billing and check-in and your curriculum is already sorted, we name the cheaper platforms honestly, by name, below. We only make our own case in the one segment where we think it is actually the strongest answer: who is going to teach the class.

The full price list

What 12 platforms actually charge

Every number below is from that vendor's own pricing page. Where a price is not public, we say so instead of guessing.

Scroll sideways on a narrow screen to see every column.
Platform Starting Price Payment Fee Worth Knowing
Kmura $150/mo per location, flat, unlimited students 2.6% + $0.30 per card First 2 months free. Positions itself as "AI powered". Student portal is web only, no native app claimed on its own site.
BJJLink (Black) $49/mo + 1% payment service fee 1% of processed payments, on top of card fees 30 day free trial, no card required. Identical features to the Coral tier below. The fee is the only difference.
BJJLink (Coral) $149/mo, no service fee Standard card processing only Native student app on iOS and Android. Also the only platform in this list that markets a dedicated curriculum builder, see our curriculum comparison.
MatGoat (Básico) €40/mo, up to 50 students Stripe's own rates, no platform markup stated Handles Spanish tax compliance (TicketBAI, VeriFactu) natively. Strong in Spain and Latin America.
MatGoat (Profesional) €60/mo, unlimited students Stripe's own rates, no platform markup stated Same tax compliance as Básico, no student cap.
BJJ Track (Academy Complete) $199/mo Not stated on its pricing page 30 day trial. Includes 2,500 AI credits, 50GB storage, 50,000 emails and 2,500 SMS per billing period. Heavy on marketing automation and paid ad attribution. Unverified a lower "Foundation" tier is referenced on the site but its price is not published.
Kicksite $49/mo (0 to 25 students) up to $199/mo (101 or more) Not stated on its pricing page Every tier includes the same features. The gate is student count only.
Martialytics $69/mo (0 to 50 students) up to $199/mo (200 or more) $0 markup, standard Stripe rates, at every tier Leads and inactive students do not count toward your student total, so they are free to keep in the system.
Gymdesk $75/mo (up to 50 active members) up to $200/mo (201 to 400) Not stated on its pricing page An extra location is $50/mo more. A branded member app is a further $100/mo on top of your plan.
PushPress Free, or $159/mo (Pro), or $229/mo (Max) 4.99% + $0.30 (Free) down to 2.75% + $0.30 (Max) The card fee falls sharply as you pay more for the plan itself, which is unusual in this category, see the segment below. Marketing tools are a separate product, PushPress Grow, at $329/mo.
Zen Planner From $99/mo (Studio) up to $348/mo (Ultimate) Not stated on its pricing page Gated by active member count across all three tiers.
Clubworx Free (up to 20 members) up to $169/mo AUD (Established) Not stated on its pricing page Prices are in Australian dollars. Martial arts grading is a $10/mo add-on, it is not included in any base tier.
Mindbody From $79/mo per location Not stated on its pricing page General fitness scheduling software, not built for martial arts. No belt or rank tracking of any kind.
Spark Membership $99/mo, shown as a 50% promotional rate Not stated on its pricing page Unverified the regular price appears to be around $199/mo based on the promo math. Spark does not state that number directly, so treat it as our inference.
GrapplingU $145/mo We Make This One Standard Stripe rates on the coach's own connected account The only platform on this page where the weekly curriculum is supplied by a named coach rather than built or uploaded by the gym. Ad management is a separate, founder-delivered service at roughly $100/mo, not an automated feature.

By what you actually need

Which one should you actually buy

Nobody needs the whole feature list. Here is what we would tell a friend, by need.

If you mainly need billing and check-in, and your curriculum is already sorted

Martialytics or Kicksite are the honest answers here, and we are not one of them. Martialytics starts at $69/mo with a $0 markup on Stripe's own rates, which is the cleanest processing math we found on any of these 12 pricing pages. Kicksite starts even lower, at $49/mo, and includes every feature at every tier rather than gating anything by price.

If you already have a system for planning what to teach, or you plan it yourself and just need the gym run, paying more for a platform that also stores a curriculum you will not use is not a good trade.

If you run a gym in Spain or Latin America

MatGoat is the clear pick, and again, not us. Its Profesional tier is €60/mo for unlimited students, and it is the only platform in this comparison that handles Spanish tax compliance (TicketBAI and VeriFactu) as a built-in feature rather than something you bolt on separately.

If you want the lowest possible payment processing fees

Martialytics again: a stated $0 markup over standard Stripe rates, at every tier, no exceptions.

Worth a specific warning here: PushPress prices its card processing in a way we did not see anywhere else in this category. Its Free plan carries a 4.99% plus $0.30 card fee, while its top Max tier drops to 2.75% plus $0.30. A gym doing real payment volume on the Free plan is quietly paying almost double the processing rate of a gym on the $229/mo tier. Read that fee schedule carefully before you assume "free" is the cheap option.

If you need someone to actually supply the teaching, not just store it

This is the one segment where we think GrapplingU is the strongest answer, and it is also the only place on this page we make our own case. Every platform above gives a gym somewhere to put a curriculum. None of them, at the time we checked, hands the gym a curriculum to begin with. GrapplingU's weekly plan is built by Greg Souders of Standard Jiu Jitsu, whose students include Gavin Corbe (second at the 2026 ADCC World Championship) and Deandre Corbe (ADCC West Coast Trials champion).

We cover this in more depth, including exactly what "curriculum" means at each of the 12 platforms above, on our curriculum comparison page. If you just want to see how a month of classes actually gets planned, our planning guide is free and has nothing to do with buying anything.

Straight answers

Frequently asked

Is there a genuinely free BJJ gym software?

PushPress has a Free plan at $0 per month, though its card processing rate on that tier is 4.99% plus $0.30, the highest of any tier PushPress publishes. Clubworx also has a free tier, for up to 20 members, before its paid tiers start at $109/mo AUD.

Which BJJ gym software has the lowest payment processing fees?

Martialytics states a $0 markup on standard Stripe rates, at every pricing tier. That is the most direct answer we found on any of the 12 pricing pages we checked.

Does any of these platforms come with a curriculum already built for you?

Most of what this market calls a curriculum is a video library you upload to, or a belt requirement checklist. We cover that question on its own page: which BJJ software actually gives you a curriculum. GrapplingU is the one platform in this list where a named coach supplies the weekly curriculum rather than the gym storing its own.

Who publishes this comparison, and can it be trusted?

We publish it. We make GrapplingU. Every other comparison we found in this category is also written by a vendor, usually ranking itself first. We have segmented this one by what you need instead of declaring a single winner, and named the cheaper option by name wherever it genuinely is the better buy.
