The Room This Curriculum Comes From

Gavin Corbe Took Silver at the 2026 ADCC World Championship

On 13 September 2026 in Krakow, Gavin Corbe stepped into the under 66 kilogram bracket as a late replacement, with eleven days' notice and no training camp. He fought his way to the final, where he lost to Kennedy Maciel by armbar in overtime, becoming the first ever Filipino ADCC silver medalist.

Gavin trains under Greg Souders at Standard Jiu-Jitsu: the room this curriculum comes from. We are not claiming this app made him a world finalist. We are telling you where the classes you are about to plan actually come from.

In their words

Hear it from a coach

“It's helped me to reduce the time it takes to design practices for my gym significantly… They're able to go back, review and actually remember the specific skills we were focusing on during each practice. Overall, it's just made my coaching process more efficient and my athletes more engaged.”

Built for every position

A curriculum that covers the whole game

Games and class plans for every position on the mat, from day-one fundamentals to competition-level systems.

Wrestling

Handfight to Hips

From standing, win the handfight to control the head or an elbow, capture a leg or the head, then lock your hands around the hips.

Guard

Shoulder Threat

Bottom traps an arm and a shoulder and hunts the arm-lock or head-and-arm finish; top has to free the arms to escape.

Pins

Nonstereotypical Belly Down

Both players start belly-down and parallel. Connect to the hips or shoulders first, then chase any threat — head-and-arm, figure-four, arm-lock, or strangle.

Build culture

A gym people don't leave

Students earn XP every roll, every game. Skill levels go up. It's a character they're leveling, not a hobby they might quit.

Better progression

Students who stop plateauing

Give every student a weekly focus: one position to solve, with the notes, video, and game to drill it live. Now every roll has a target and instant feedback, so they sharpen the one thing they're working on instead of just sweating. That tight loop of focus, roll, and adjust is what actually breaks a plateau.

Skill XP makes the progress visible, so they feel it too. The ones who see progress stay.

Hand Off a Class Without Losing the Plan

Every class already ships with the plan written: the position, the win conditions, the games, the video. A senior student can run it without you in the room, because there is nothing left to invent on the fly.

If you coach 20 classes a week and hand off 10 of them, at about two hours each with commute and cleanup, that is 20 hours a week back. About 80 hours a month. This is a model built from the numbers you enter, not a measured result: it is only as accurate as your own schedule.

Why coaches switch
★★★★★
“As a blackbelt with 10 years of coaching experience, I've found incredible value in implementing GrapplingU in our gym. Using the Class Planner tool to structure our weekly training schedule is a game changer. Using the curriculum allowed me to set up games quickly while learning high level details with included videos, written concepts, and ability to create and share games with other coaches. I love being able to communicate directly with students through the app, giving them personal focus!”

A coach's full review

“It's flexible and modular — you can fit it into the coaching style you're currently using, so you don't have to subscribe to any kind of coaching style… You can schedule a yearly class plan just through five or seven clicks. My verdict is a big would-recommend.”
